- Tony Fadell : The secret of a great design.
Take a step back. Look at things broader. Look at things closer. These are the words used by Tony Fadell in his talk at TED TALKS. Habituation was the key point of his talk where he talked about us , humans , adapting to the world and saying "that's how the world works" but in reality, if we could just take a step back, we could change how the world works. We could find problems and try to solve it. "Why can't cars fly?" The answer is not "that's how the world works" or "it is impossible to make cars fly" but hey ; what if it is not impossible? What if we could make a car fly? We could start from trying to get a remote car to hover? To float in mid-air? A youtuber ,Colin Furze , actually made a bike that can hover ! The bike are able to carry his own weight and levitate in mid air. That is the job of us designer! To create what has not been created. To make things impossible , possible . Be playful. Think young. Design.
- Isaac Mizrahi : Fashion and Creativity.
My first impression on Isaac Mizrahi was that he was a creepy man. A loser of some sort. He stutters alot and look very unprofessional but actually , he's not. He's a creative designer. Someone with alot of passion, interest in fashion. To him, it's okay to make mistakes and that's true! We learn from mistakes and sometimes , mistakes can be very useful. Like sewing wrongly and making holes in your pants and suddenly, you felt that it looks good. You just created a new style of fashion. To Isaac Mizrahi, he believes that inspiration comes to yourself, you don't find inspiration. Everything must be fun to him and not be boring.
To me , I will go Tony Fadell. He is more of a realist person but also a designer which try to make things unreal , real. He try to solve problems and are curious like me. Curiousity. As a designer , we should be solving problems and try to take a step back to solve the problems. Not just waiting for things to come your way.
