Picture of the week- Racism

My skin colour(left) and my mom's skin colour(right)

This would probably be the most personal blog that I am posting for my school project. I was born a Muslim(not that i wanted to, I was just born into this world as a Muslim) and was thought a lot of religious stuff. What is right and what is wrong. However , I came from a Chinese , Portuguese , Siamese and Javanese bloodline.

I recently had the most heartbroken thing that has ever happened in my entire life. I broke up with my girlfriend due to my race and religion. She is a wonderful and cheerful Chinese girl when i first met her. I am not very religious at all to be honest. I entertained her, she wanted to eat at a non-halal sushi place as she is craving for sushi and I compromised for her. I did a lot of things that was wrong in my religion with her. I sacrificed a part of my religion that made me who I was just to make her happy.

She was the one who fell in love with me first and now she has left me with the excuse "I can't see myself being with a malay." What does that mean?

In conclusion, I hate racism.

Life - Empathy / Sympathy

So , in class with Mr Ezzam , we had a gathering where some of us opened up to the whole class, telling each of everyone their problems. Tears were shed on that day. Many were emotionally affected , including me myself. Some of my classmates were bullied when they were young , some were neglected and some was unaccepted by the society. I felt empathy. I believe that is what empathy meant. Feeling with someone , understanding what they are going through and stepping into their shoes.

Sympathy is on the other hand , giving a helping hand to the victim. He may not experienced what the victim experienced first-hand but they understood how the victim felt. They understands what is going on and gave a helping hand. Trying to comfort them and not make them feel very down . Trying to bring the victim back to his/her feet. Making them realise that everything is not over, and life goes on.

False Relationship - Shark Tank

Shark Tank Episode Finale - Alpha M.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KilBoMFrkZA

The person who is asking for the Shark's help is none other then one of the most famous youtube influencer in style , grooming , fashion , fitness and anything to do , for a man to be an alpha male , Aaron Marino , asking for a $100,000 for 10% of his business of Pete and Pedro.

The episode was recorded when Alpha M only has a about 600,000 followers on his youtube social media. Now, he has almost 2,000,000 Subscribers !

In the Shark Tank episode , Alpha M needed help in growing his business for Pete and Pedro , a brand that he created himself , for Hair products and cream.  Aaron has tried many and multiples hair products brands that "guarantees will work" but it doesn't. Most of the products he uses are a disappointment and thus , he wanted to create a product that would work for a majority of people , thus , Pete and Pedro.

So he gave each of the Sharks a sample, they smelt it , touched it , and were not impressed. None of the Sharks were impressed. They didn't see the value in the product . However , they some something else , the potential of Aaron Marino and his social media. They tried to buy Aaron Marino and Pete and Pedro together , saying that Pete and Pedro is not worth that $100,000 for 10% and offered Aaron and Pete and Pedro together as whole combining these 2 businesses , hence the false connection.

At this point , Aaron didn't know what to do , He needed help for Pete and Pedro , not his youtube channel . Although he made a deal with one of the Sharks , Barbarra , in the episode , he rejected her offer of buying his channel after the whole episode. He made a video talking about what happened after Shark Tank.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kn1Ek8lIDgg

In the end , he rejected ALL the shark tanks offer as the False Connection is too heavy to marry together . However ! He totally killed the episode , boosting his sales for Pete and Pedro. Shark Tanks  didn't buy Pete and Pedro , the consumer who watched Shark Tank did. Most of his products are out of stocks and Pete and Pedro name rose.

Even if he did not get the Shark's helps , he did succeed.

  I am Officially a Panda!!

I just started working as a food deliveryman at foodpanda on a sunday morning as an OJT (on job training) getting paid only 25$ flat. I didn't like spending my 4 hrs and wasting petrol while just accompanying another rider on his delivery (although i learnt a lot from collecting food to transaction with the customer) for just $25 ! My 4 hours is not worth $25 ! So , I decided to ask the manager of the day whether there was a slot in the afternoon , and i was delighted to hear that there is a 5 hour slot on that exact evening.

I geared up and with the training thought by my senior rider , i set off for the delivery. The pay is very, very high . The highest pay i received while working as a part timer in other shops and company. It was very very tiring but i racked up about $140 that day. It was all worth it I guess. I can spend my whole day with my bike while getting money? I'm on ! Will probably stay in Foodpanda for a very long time.

How does it feels to have power for critics?

I've been criticised and also critics others before. As we are pursuing art, we will be hearing a lot of criticism be it , constructive or destructive criticism. I believe critics are a way for us artists to learn the minds of others. However, how we handle this criticism is another matter. We could be making a perfectly sculpted sculpture but still get critics from other , like "The nose is too big".  We shouldn't be mad or sad and get pissed at that person. It could be a matter of perspective. Ask him to look differently, at a different angle. Ask him to visualise and think how we artists try to portray our
arts.

If we are unskilled and still developing, criticism are a way for use to grow , understand our mistakes and also learn that life does not revolves around you. Other peoples are living in this world and each and every individual has different taste and thoughts.

How does it feel to have power for critics ? I feel that I'm helping others whether they want to give a ear , or not.

  My cat

Meet my fluffy cat ! Her name is Putri ( Princess ) given to my mother but my family members called her PutPut cause cute mah. Not sure what is her age now but my family received her when I was in secondary school. I believe it was when I was in lower secondary. So , she is probably 8 years old i guess.

A cousin of mine used to breed cats and her cats used to make more cats and out came 2 adorable kittens. One was greyish , white and the other was black like me. And we took the black one cause we black. So here she is now. A new family member and grew with us when we took her when she was like few months old.

She is now fat , violent , abusive , controlling and basically a princess. We are a slaves and had to feed her every hour. Fat PutPut.

 First Time Driving.

So this was my first time handling a steering wheel, stepping on an accelerator / brakes / clutch of a car.  It was my very first Motorcar practical lesson where i learned how to drive. As I was walking towards the meeting area where my instructor was waiting ,  there was tons and tons of car , all lined up neatly and ready to move out. My instructor was waiting ( forgotten his name , omg) , an old man , filling up a certain form asking me to wait. The view was like this ..
 AHHHH ~

It doesn't look very scary in the picture , but it was very nerve-wracking in person. I stood there all nervous , yet very excited to start. Got in the passenger seat of the car , my instructor showed the basics functions of the car like the mirror and such , and i swapped seats with him. Now I'm the driver. He told me , " Just go . Don't scared. I won't let you crash " . So there I go , learning how to manoeuvre the vehicle. 10 mins in to the lesson , I went to the 5th floor.(was at the 3rd floor at first) There i learned shifting gears proper steering , blindspots and basically all the basics things you need to drive.  Stalling only twice because I wasn't accustomed to the vehicle. All in all , it was an amazing experience , and I believe it will be easy getting my class 3 license like how it was easy to get my class 2b.

Battle Royale (Analyse )

I won't go with the synopsis as you could just google that shit.

Review : THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING!
I've watched this movie many years back when my parents bought it. It was one of the first movie that I've watched again many many times when I was kid. I roughly knew the plot and what was the ending as i watched multiple times when I was like 6-7 year old ? But anyways , I knew what was going on. Watched it again today and it still amazes me.

So we are tasked to imagine what we would do in that situation in real life.

So first of all , if I were in that situation , I would probably panicked and pee in my pants(not really).
I would be shocked at first but it would also be rather exciting. We are tasked to kill one another and the survivor will get out. I wouldn't like that and I didn't want to hurt any of my classmates so I would just get the bag and hide and camp in a place that is convenient for me , alone. Checked my bags and make do with what I have. If I received a metal lid like that protagonist in the movie , I would be very depressed and probably just kill myself (not really).

SO , In terms of trust , I would not trust anyone , except maybe for Fifi and Shiifah as they are the most descent in my whole class I guess. They are nice and friendly to everyone and would probably try to find a way to get out. I would hang with them if I met them in the island but would probably leave if I find it stupid.

In the movie , there was a smart genius hacker that are able to find a way to remove the necklace(I think that was the case). However , we do not have any smart genius hacker in our class. Only some retarded pokemon master nerds and some dimwits. If I met them in the island , first thing i would do is ask them what weapons they have because I know they do not have the guts to kill because they do not look like the type that kills.

Outcome , I would probably be the final survivor or the guy who died trying to save others.

I think there will be multiples group
The Chinas that will consist of the 3 china girls that I've never talked to and they would probably kill each other and the survivor will run amuck killing the rest of the class.

The Geeks that is Aiman and gangs where i believe they will try to find peace until maybe Qinthara lost control of herself and kill everyone like the scene of the food poisoning.

The Indon that is all the indonesians that will probably kill each other in the first day.

Fifi's Alliance that consist of almost all the other classmates that are missing.

The Lonewolf's that is Me , and i think Darren .

The Killer that will be , Fiona , Grace.

Yeah man. I will survive.

Analogical Thinking

Group 1
Roshni , Shahnabil , Jaden , Thoi

Our 4 research for fantasy analogy.

My post and research will be about ... MOTOBOTS!

Motobots by Yamaha created to compete with the motogp world champion , Valentino Rossi.

Personal Analogy - Wanted to create a robot that can drive.

Direct Analogy - Inspired by the world motogp champion, Valentino Rossi , and to surpass him.

Symbolic Analogy - Taking elements from a human , creating a machine.

Fantasy Analogy - A Robot that can drive and also Race.

In my opinion , this could be world changing as if this is tuned to be able to drive safely on the road , it could take over all the dispatch riders. There will be no more dispatch riders . It will all be Motobots. McMotobots for macdonalds or something like that? Fast and efficient.

Next will be Roshni idea and research , the tea strainer !
  designed by Alan Chan

Personal Analogy - Inspired by a bird in a cage

Direct Analogy - Giving a feel of a Chinese tradition of drinking tea

Symbolic Analogy - Elements of drinking tea while enjoying nature

Fantasy Analogy - Bird like thing working as a strainer

Next is Jadens idea and research , Google self driving car!

Personal Analogy - Personal quest to save lives and reduce traffic accidents.

Direct Analogy - Daily occurances  driving a car takes up alot of time therefore wanted to use that time to do something more productive.

Symbolic Analogy - Taking elements from a human to make a machine.

Fantasy Analogy - What if you can drive a car without a driver.

Finally would be , Thoi's ideas and research , the 3d Doodler

Personal Analogy - Instead of using pencil to draw , why not try drawing on the air?

Direct Analogy - Instead of using the 3D printer , why not create a small portable one that is similar to a pencil.

Symbolic Analogy - It is so mainstream to just use a 3D software to create 3D structure so let's just use a pen that can construct and print the structure at the same time.

Fantasy Analogy - We use that pen to create household items instead of making them.

Cleaning My Bike

Basically , this is what I do on my off day when I don't have school or work. I cleaned , checked and maintained my bike every single month. Like humans , motor vehicles also need regular checks and cleaning. If we don't maintain and clean our bikes , it will be very dangerous for the rider and other road users if something happened. We should check whether our chain is too loose or too tight and if it is properly lubed. We should clean our bike so that the paint won't wear off and get yellowed over time. Remove all the brake dust from our rims to prevent it from sticking on to the rims permanently.

All these small things might not be important for other people , but to me , it is very important. I've seen people on the road with very loose chains almost coming out of the bike , flat tyres and very bad exhaust/engine sound. This is very bad

Photo of the week

Photo of the week

This week photo would be at SSDC ( Singapore Safety Driving Centre ).
I went there to accompany my girlfriend for her motorbike practical today and watched as her as she ride in the lobby. This place brought a lot of memory for me as this was where I learnt how to drive and also the place where I gotten the license to drive on Singapore and International road. I fell , bled , sweat and tear on this very level where I started learning to drive my bike. I couldn't even ride properly at that time. I fell multiples times at the "S" course I was too "kanchiong" into the turn and lost control of my bike. HAhaha.

I can't wait for like 5 more months where I could finally remove my "P" plate and apply for class 2A. I'll be back her soon. Wooo~

Singapore Night Festival 2016

 Singapore Night Festival 2016

Singapore Night Festival 2016 was blast ! Those were the words I would want to say if I had any clue on where the fuck I was going ! So , I read the map , Zone 1,2,3,4,5 and there was a few trail which i could follow. Couldn't be so hard , could it ? Oh boy was I wrong. I walked , following one of trail which led me to multiples and it's not just multiples , It's fucking 100s or maybe almost a thousand of people !!!! FUCK ! It was damn stuffy , body odours  , smell of alcohol and cigarette were everywhere around me ! People were stepping on each other's shoes, pushing one another to get to the other area. I wasn't sure where exactly I was at that time but it was a horrible experience. I went home at around 8 just after the whole thing started. It was on Friday , the beginning of the Night Festival.

I did not want to go there again but if I don't , I would probably fail my Creative Thinking module right ? I went back there again on Saturday the following week. I saw my friends snapchat on Friday where they saw godzilla or something like that outside the art museum . I thought to myself , " Hey , It could actually be interesting!" Oh , Boy ! was I wrong again. So I went to the Singapore Art Museum and i saw this.
(photo was taken opposite the art musuem outside SMU)

"Hmmm. Cool light shows but WHERE IS THE GODDAM GODZILLA ?!!" I stood there for a few minutes and I walked opposite where I took the picture. So i went to SMU next ,where there were tons and tons of people. There were booths were people buying and selling overpriced stuff.

There were too many people and most of them smell like alcohol so i decided not to enter my shopping mode and strayed around the stalls and while straying around the stores , i found beer stalls. tons of beer stalls , the source of the alcohol ! The distributor of alcohol around SMU ! I am sorry but I can't stand the smell of alcohols. One time I had a friend , he was drinking and he talked directly in front of my face while holding my shoulder with his stinky alcoholic breath and I bitched slapped his face because the smell was horrible ! I think i have a very good and sensitive sense of smell thus I reacted that way. He was fine though and couldn't even remember that he was bitched slapped the next day .

Back to the Night Festival, nearby the stalls where the drunks gathered, there was a performance by I don't really bother to check their names but it was alright. The place was pretty chill where there were cushions where people could relax and enjoy the performance. I couldn't though because the whole bloody area stinks of alcohol and body odours .
(I have no idea what these malays are performing)

I looked at the map again after getting bored of the Night Festival already. There was still no Godzilla near the Singapore Art museum. To my disappointment , I walked back to where i parked my bike illegally hoping not to get fined because there were shitloads of traffic police everywhere with a friend of mine and we set of to Armenian street where I could see there was supposed to be a lot of things going on there and there were a lot of things going on there. I couldn't comprehend what in the world was going on there though ,even after I've reached the area.

The picture above was the first thing I saw after reaching Armenian street. MORE smelly body odours and alcohol. There was something going on the building there but I did not want to go into the area of smelly B.Os. If there was a zombie apocalypse , this would be one of the streets filled with zombies that you see in games and movies.

I walked around the place and there was more alcohol stalls and another performance.

There were drunkards dancing and doing capoeira or some sort infront of their performance. No idea what was in their minds but i'm not gonna judge any more. Took a few photos here and there and back on my bike I go where I went to enjoyed prata with great company at Ang Mo Kio , Haji Karim Prata Shop, the best experience i received that night. The prata was amazing !

Totally not gonna go to another night festival in the near future. P.S , Right after I went home , I looked at my snap before heading to bed , there was still no Godzilla but there was people flying/floating on something. Came for the Godzilla and all I received was the alcohol stench back home.
(map for my route)
